This is my humble guide for those who wish to visit the Canyon:
Do I need to take a tour?
To visit the Antelope Canyon, you must have a native Navajo guide. In other words, you can't venture into this land on your own. There are plenty of tour companies in Page running the same program. I took a prime time tour.
Choice of tours available
There are 2 choices available: the Upper slot and the Lower slot. Both beautiful, both magical, but if you are looking for great photo opportunities of the famous corkscrew swirls and twists, go for the Upper Canyon Tour. Note that you will be looking at a much more expensive entrance fees. If you are a professional photographer, you can choose a "photographer tour".On the other hand, if you are not insisting on a light beam photo, you can see equally vivid colors in the Lower Canyon. Some claim that this is a better choice because it's cheaper, you will get longer time in the canyon and its more adventurous as you need to do some climbing (there are stairs).
The Antelope Canyon is in Page, Arizona. You'll need a car. If you don't you can join a Antelope Canyon Tour that includes pick up from LasVegas, Nevada, where most tourists choose to base in for the trip. This particular tour includes a stop at the Horseshoe Bend, which is unbelievably pretty during sunset.

And also, I did not book in advance because we all forgot about it. I regretted this part of my trip a lot because when I remembered, there were only 1 slot on the Upper Antelope Canyon tour left. My brother gave up the opportunity for me to go. Don't be like us! BOOK IN ADVANCE! (links can be found above.)
