Day 4: 

We started the day with a visit to the Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. The villages belong to the Black H'mong, Tay and Zay peoples. 

France: 1 day in Aix-en-Provence

       Aix-en-Provence is a low-key destination in Southeast France, famous for its marvelous architecture, heritage, culture, intellectual and art. What’s more, it is the hometown of the world-renowned 19th-century post-impressionist painter, Paul Cezanne, and the nearest town from Chateau of Vauvenargues which is the final resting place of Picasso. It definitely makes a perfect getaway for those who are into l'art de vivre (the art of living)!

If you wish to travel to Vietnam during your summer vacation, be warned. We arrived at mid-June and were literally drenched in sweat, it was super-duper hot! I heard that temperature will be around 34 degree Celsius in June! I was wondering how am I going to stay for 6 days in this country. Enough ranting, negativity aside, let's roll.

Vatican city is the smallest state in the world walled within the marvelous city of Rome. It is certainly one of my must-sees during this trip, but before I go, my friends warned me about the long lines, enormous crowd, and the scorching sun in June do no help either.

Day Trip to the Dolomites from Venice

The beauty of Dolomites is described so many times in literature, travel blogs, and documentaries that I decided to include this beautiful mountain range (also an UNESCO Heritage Site) into my itinerary. I've done a quick search on the net and found out that it is only a 2 and a half hour drive from Venice, which is perfect for a day trip! However, I do not drive well enough and certainly, will not risk my life attempting to drive in an unfamiliar region (especially when hairpin turns are involved up on the mountains!)

In the Three Peaks National Park of Dolomites. Worth every penny spent!
