Food Affair: HALAL Japanese Buffet Dinner @ G Hotel Kelawai

      I don’t mean to boast, but if you are interested in Japanese cuisine, you’ve come to the right person. Those who personally know me would know that I am a total sucker for Japanese food. Name me any main city and I can most probably name you a sushi restaurant or two. Now that I am back to my hometown, I’m overjoyed to know that my first trip across the Penang Bridge will be to try out a Japanese Buffet.

Chinese New Year is just around the corner, are you still considering where to go for reunion dinner? Well, G-Hotel is here for the rescue! To be honest, I have never try on the Chinese New Year dinner in a hotel before as all these years my family & I always practise to have lunch or dinner at home during this special season. So, if you ask me where is the best restaurant or hotel to go for dinner during CNY eve, you're definitely looking for the wrong person. 😞 And this time, I am so grateful that I was given a chance to join the food review session organized by G-Hotel Gurney. And of course, this is also my very first time of food review. Once again, thank you so muchhh for having me! the cherry blossom bread(벚꽃빵), A lot of people would queue up at some street stall in Jinhae during the festival,  for more than 30 minutes, just to get their hands on this must-eat delicacy. Filled with adzuki beans paste with a kick of Cherry Blossom extract, it is a delightful treat which is not too sweet and smells like the cherry Blossom.

Early April is the time when the Cherry Blossom trees will come into full bloom and covered the whole city in a color of pinkish white. There are a lot of Spring festival events nationwide, but Jinhae has long been known to host the best.

Is this just a clear drop of water? No, listen to me, you’ve got to see it to believe it—hands down the most unique dessert I’ve encounter! It’s called the “mizu shingen mochi”, originally created in Japan. Unfortunately during my last trip to Japan, I did not have a clue about it’s existence. Therefore, I oath to try it in Korea instead.
