Check-in
Pooltara is located 35 mins away from the airport. Their service is superb... before our flight, they asked and reconfirmed our time of arrival to know either we will need pick-up services from the airport. We received pandan welcome drinks when we arrived for the check-in. The staff welcomed us with the warmest greeting and smiles.The room
My room is a Loft room suitable for couples and those traveling in pairs. The room is equipped with bathroom, shampoo and shower gel, TV, sofa, hairdryer, kettle with coffee and tea, towels, and ample space to store our luggage. The whole room is very clean and the place is quiet throughout the day. The view from the room is a window of calming greenery and it allowed me to really rest really well and have a moment of peace.
The bed is located upstairs, with small windows which allow just the right amount of sunshine in our room. The towels were made into elephant’s shape, which really got my heart melted. Such beautiful Thai hospitality! :D
The chilling spot outside the room. Great place to meditate... or just watching the fishes swimming down the stream.
And I appreciate how thoughtful they are to have some Mosquito Repellent prepared. However, despite the resort's location in the woods, there are not many mosquitoes to my surprise! I didn’t get a single bite throughout my stay.
The Breakfast experience
Having breakfast in Pooltara is pure bliss. Who doesn’t love variety? Here, you will get to enjoy a full buffet spread of local Thai food, western breakfast, fusion, Thai dessert, cereal and a lot more delicious dishes. Fresh orange juice and coffee are mandatory, you can also find local milk and yogurt here.
A freshly-made omelet by the friendly staff. Once you stepped into the lobby they will ask you politely either you want an omelet or sunny side up to kick start the day.
The Dinner experience
They do have an ala carte menu serving authentic Thai food. They look good too, but my heart was set for Barbeque seafood.The staff at Pooltara are sweet enough to make a super romantic table arrangement for us. Also, we didn’t have to grill a thing, and you can tell how sincere they are from the way they serve the guests from the decoration, and of course the mouth-watering dishes!
I was delighted by their seafood. One word = FRESH. They are so fresh and delicious, too fresh until the clamps have no annoying fishy smell at all. Even those who dare not eat clamps might want to devour them.
The highest level of satisfaction, achieved! :)
Inside the resort
Never forget the most celebrated attractions of the resort! The Natural Pool. It is emerald during my visit due to all the rain (it was the rainy season). I was told that if you visit when the weather is better, the pool will be crystal clear.
Having fun in the pool, chilling, swimming, and KAYAKING. Yes, they do provide the kayaks!
The service
The only downside of Pooltara is that the resort might be a little far from Krabi town and AoNang. It takes around 30mins on a motorbike trip. But, Pooltara does provide rental service (motorbikes) and taxi service! We were exploring Krabi on a motorbike for 3 days and in my humble opinion, it is the best way to experience the area! It was fun riding from Pooltara to the town, as the scenery along the road is truly beautiful! With such a great experience in anticipation, this 30mins distance is totally worth it!The staff are so loving and caring. They always ask us if we needed anything else, if everything is fine... They also give sincere and honest suggestions on what to do or not to do and where to go. Politeness and warmth are exactly what I love about them. They are so friendly to talk with and laugh together. Friendship is priceless.
Also, they provide massage service to the room, great room service, isn't it? Thai massage and oil massage are available at an additional cost. I had a Thai massage session after a tiring day, and I fell asleep during the massage. It was too stress-relieving.
They provided a taxi service to send us back to the airport after checkout. All good things have to come to an end and we unwillingly bid farewell to the place we called "home away from home" for the past 3 nights.
