1 week in Tokyo - Day 7: Ueno

What is Interesting in Ueno?

Today we just went to Ueno for exhibitions.
There are a lot of nice exhibitions here compared to Malaysia, but you have to know Japanese, since the explanations are all in Japanese and translation in English is only for the title.

1 week in Tokyo - Day 6: Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Omotesando, Shibuya, Roppongi

Today we met at Meiji Shrine Main Entrance, Torii Gate.

1 week in Tokyo - Day 5: Tokyo Tower, Imperial Theatre, Owl Café, Odaiba

This morning we had a brunch at a café near Tokyo Metro Minami-Senju Station. Then we went to Tokyo Tower. There was a One Piece shop inside just right in front of the entrance. So we just went in and shopped. Haha.

1 week in Tokyo - Day 4: Tsukiji, Ginza, Tokyo Station, Ghibli Museum, Tokyo Daijingu (Grand Shrine)

We went to Tsukiji today, then only we know even a market has its off-day >.< (Lesson 1!!!) luckily there were still stalls opened for us, the tourists. We had tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), unagi as well as scallop skewers, and sushi. Tamagoyaki and Skewers were just nice, but the sushi weren’t nice at all, even the 100yen sushi is better than that. (bad luck for going there on Closed Day)
The shops were closed T^T

1 week in Tokyo - Day 3: DisneySea!!!!!

We checked weather forecast before departing. It was a rainy day, and we were thinking should we change to other day. Fortunately, we kept our plan. Even though we still need to queue for some attractions, there were a lot of attraction which we didn’t have to queue.

As soon as we reached, we bought hairbands at the entrance, which we regretted later when we found mickey ear hair pins were cheaper and cuter. Lesson 3: No Impulse Buying. Moreover, since we had to took them off when watching a show or taking a ride, the hairbands ended up lying in our bags after taking the off few times. Last Christmas, I ate smoked turkey leg in Disneyland, and this time, I ate smoked chicken leg in Disney Sea. I preferred chicken XD
1200JPY each hairband Q.Q

1 week in Tokyo - Day 2: Ueno, Asakusa, Nihonbashi and Skytree

We spent the day ourselves. Jane was exhausted walking in Ueno Park whole morning but all the museum, art galleries and zoo were closed on Monday. She was so disappointed when every gate was closed tightly in front of her. Haha. Lesson 1: Check the operating hour and working day.

1 week in Tokyo - Day 1: 祭り(matsuri)

Hello, I am one of the friends of Miss Happy Feet! Just call me Jeanne.
Invited by Miss Happy Feet, I am going to write on Tokyo Trip. My friend, Jane, just came to Tokyo last week, and I will write on the days I spent with her in centre of Tokyo.

Day 1: 祭り(matsuri, which means festival)
Jane reached Narita at 0845 and took Keisei Skyliner to Nippori station and we met there. When we arrived at the Minami-senju station, there was a group of people walking around the roundabout with traditional costumes and a sacred palanquin. I think they were pracitising.
