Cutting through the heart of Edinburgh, The Royal Mile is the most visited street in Edinburgh. It is always buzzing with energy, jam packed with a lot to see, do and eat. Here, I've summarized a quick guide for those who are planning to "Walk the Mile"!

Getting Around
It is named the Royal mile because the street is indeed a mile long! Edinburgh old town, being World Heritage site, is a very compact place, perfect to explore on foot. Some wyde are worth exploring so make sure you allocate at least a half day for the Royal Mild!
The Lothian Bus
There are bus routes serving the Royal Mile. Check the timetable and route planner Here.
Recommendation: If you need to travel on buses quite often, buy a Day Pass.
The Edinburgh Pass
its used to be a brilliant way to travel because it includes Airlink Bus fare. However, it cease to operate so stop trying to look it up online.
